Calvin Klein announces its next ventureFashionNewsCalvin Klein announces its next ventureAfter revealing it would no longer be showing on the runway, the American brand is going in a new directionShareLink copied ✔️May 20, 2019FashionNewsText Dominic Cadogan Earlier this year, after the departure of Raf Simons as chief creative officer, Calvin Klein announced it would no longer be presenting collections on the runway. Instead, it would be focussing on its underwear and jeans; the latest iteration of that debuted on the likes of Troye Sivan, Indya Moore, and Bella Hadid and Lil Miquela who appeared kissing despite not being queer (the brand later apologised for this). Now, the American label has announced that it will releasing four to six initiatives a year under the title ‘InCKubator’ – led by a young team of employees at the New York HQ who will have “license to challenge the status quo, push back and propose ideas that nobody has thought of,” according to chief marketing officer Marie Gulin-Merle. With complete creative freedom, the team will likely bring external collaborators in to work on content, retail spaces, experiences, and, of course, clothing too. All of it will exist under a new Calvin Klein label, that is set to launch in September, so keep an eye out for it all.
