ICYMI, last year Céline Dion went from singer and Canadian national treasure to fashion icon, seemingly overnight. After pulling lewks all year long – with Vetements, Versace, and Valentino among the lucky few labels picked – we dubbed her the rightful fashion icon of 2017. 

Now, the singer of many talents is trying her hand at design – launching a new collection of gender-neutral clothing for children entitled Celinununu (yeah, we’re not sure on saying it either). Much like Hedi Slimane, the singer opted for a sans-accent Celine too. Announced yesterday via a cryptic teaser, we see Dion get arrested before declaring: “It’s okay, it’s okay... I’m Céline Dion.” 

Dropping officially today, the label’s motto is: “Celinununu unites two forces by one voice: fashion has the power to shape people’s minds. inspire your children to be free, and find their own individuality through clothes.” Much like Gillian Anderson – who similarly dropped a label this year – Dion’s Celinununu offering isn’t one we were expecting. It’s okay though, she’s Céline Dion.
