Along with his reputation’ShareLink copied ✔️July 6, 2016Arts+CultureNewsText Anna Cafolla A man in Australia called the police on his father, after he set fire to his most prized possession: his weed crop. Police in the Northern Territory of Aus received a call from a man who had been involved in a fight with his dad at a residence in Humpty Doo, near Darwin. He was described by authorities as “indignant and enraged”. Duty Supt Louise Jorgensen told the Guardian: “As retribution his father burnt the son’s prized cannabis plants in a bonfire on the property. The son felt this was wrong and reported the matter to police.” Authorities arrived to confirm what was going on, and the caller was asked if he understood his accusation and that, yes, possessing cannabis is illegal. However, it seems his axis of justice moves a little differently than that of Australian law, which bans possession and cultivation of weed under the Misuse of Drugs Act. “He seemed to believe that the destruction of the same was far worse than the possession in the first instance,” said Jorgensen. “No charges have been laid against the young man. The evidence has been destroyed. Along with his reputation.” Lenient, but still savage. Police say the guy has now moved in with other relatives, because your da setting fire to your stash is pretty hard to come back from. Escape the algorithm!
