You break up with your partner, only to realise a few days later that you’ve left half your possessions at theirs. This could be anything: a hoodie, keys, a much-loved record, your nan’s prized silverwear set, your dignity. A dreaded follow-up meeting ensues. You’re emotional, it’s awkward, or at least, deeply uncomfortable. Introducing: Postdates (a play on popular delivery app Postmates, presumably). Described as ‘the first app for breaking up’, this new company picks up your belongings from your ex so you don’t have to. Based in New York and LA, all you have to do is download the Postdates app and write down what items you need retrieving. No need to worry about the rest. The company is still relatively new – according to Twitter, it was founded in February this year. But if the promo video is anything to go by, it looks like you’ll be in safe hands.
