Does he rate us?
Grimes’ boyfriend wants to create a site where people can rate journalists and score writers and outlets on their honesty and accuracy, sort of like the ‘Nosedive’ episode of Black Mirror but just for the media.
“Going to create a site where the public can rate the core truth of any article & track the credibility score over time of each journalist, editor & publication,” tweeted Elon Musk, 46, before revealing he’d like to call it Pravda.
“Even if some of the public doesn’t care about the credibility score, the journalists, editors & publications will. It is how they define themselves,” he continued. “Not only needs to be botproof, but seek & unmask anyone operating a disinformation bot army”
He also blamed the media for Donald Trump’s political success, momentarily forgetting that he accepted an invitation to sit on the White House business advisory council before pulling out because of a difference in opinion on climate change – not his overt racism.
Also, one has to wonder whether he considered, mid-tirade, that his new anti-media stance seems a bit inappropriate considering his new girlfriend Grimes’ mother, Sandy Garossino is a journalist in Vancouver.
It didn’t take long for investigators on Twitter (who work at the Economist) to dig up some receipts. There is actually paperwork showing that Jared Birchall, one of Musk’s business partners, had filed to create a corporation of the same name in October 2017 in California. Birchall is also the president of Musk’s start up company Neuralink which aims to connect human brains to computers.

The holier-than-thou hypocrisy of big media companies who lay claim to the truth, but publish only enough to sugarcoat the lie, is why the public no longer respects them https://t.co/Ay2DwCOMkr

Thought you’d say that. Anytime anyone criticizes the media, the media shrieks “You’re just like Trump!” Why do you think he got elected in the first place? Because no ones believes you any more. You lost your credibility a long time ago.

Problem is journos are under constant pressure to get max clicks & earn advertising dollars or get fired. Tricky situation, as Tesla doesn’t advertise, but fossil fuel companies & gas/diesel car companies are among world’s biggest advertisers.

If you’re in media & don’t want Pravda to exist, write an article telling your readers to vote against it …
