Set to celebrate the launch of the album at the newly opened Bocking Street Warehouse, Simian Mobile Disco, Andrew Weatherall, David Holmes and Nathan G Wilkins will be joining them on the decks. Dazed Digital catch up with the band before their 'Crush Depth' launch party this Friday...Dazed Digital: You guys are a ten piece? How do you not get on each other's nerves?Chrome Hoof: Hello DDQ! Depending on the size of the venue the size of the band rotates from eight to 22 of us..I think you need pretty strong nerves to be in this band, its a good gang but logistics with so many members means it takes a while to get anything done. We get on each others nerves, but suffer in silence and try to maintain a thin veil of congeniality. E. g "Oh that's a nice trill' whilst thinking ('I'm gonna rip that weasel's balls off, and then shit everywhere out of confusion'.)DD: How would you describe the music you make?Chrome Hoof: Well, I suppose its an inclusive, celebratory and joyful style of music- in that what a pleasure it is picking stuff out from the infinite sonic ocean that's available. That might sound a bit faggoty, but anyone who's seen us knows we're into the heavy dark stuff really.DD: What would you do without glittery shiny pants?Chrome Hoof: Be naked.DD: Will you use your musical powers for good or for evil?Chrome Hoof: Actually we're putting all our eggs into the basket of neutrality.DD: What's next?Chrome Hoof: Weetabix.Friday 4th June. ‘Crush Depth’ Chrome Hoof Album Launch with dollop, Bocking Street Warehouse, Bocking Street, London, E8 3RL. 10PM – 5.30AM Advance Tickets: £11 Escape the algorithm!
