This month’s mix comes from Tsatsamis, whose high-energy synth-pop anthems have seen the London-based artist soar to euphoric heights. On his debut mixtape Tsycophant, Tsatsamis – whose record title is a play on the silent ‘t’ in his name – lays it all bare, with 80s pop melodrama à la George Michael and all the saucer-eyed hedonism of the city’s queer nightlife. From the rapturous flashbacks of a situationship on “Think About You” to the juddering synthline of “Violent Thoughts”, the eight-track record takes listeners through late-night club confessionals and sweaty nights on the dancefloor by way of the darkroom, and the occasional bathroom bump. If you know, you know.

For his exclusive Dazed mix, Tsatsamis shares a summer-ready selection of old and new favourites, featuring the likes of Dorian Concept, Outkast and Underworld. “I’ve been listening to a lot of the same stuff, so making it inspired a bit of a rapid spurt of finding a lot of new music and digging through old favourites, [as well as] making some edits on the fly and sampling some stuff from YouTube,” he elaborates. It’s a bit all over the shop, but I’m feeling quite erratic with my taste at the moment so thought I’d lean into it.”

Tsycophant is out now. Check out Tsatsamis’ exclusive Dazed mix above, and see the full tracklist below.
