Last month, Dazed Club kicked off festival season, partnering for the third year with the fiercely independent Wide Awake. To make our partnership with our eclectic friends even more special, this year was also the first time Dazed Club hosted a stage!

Our Dazed Club Stage boomed with bass and sassy, gritty electronic sounds from noon right until 10:30pm when the festival wrapped. We hosted a star-studded lineup curated by Daniel Avery, featuring iconic artists including: Acopia, Chanel Beads, COBRAH, Daniel Avery (live), Fcukers, Marie Davidson, Sega Bodega, and Sextile.

Acopia ushered in the early hours with a gorgeous shoegaze-tinged performance, followed by an amped-up, post-punky show by Sextile, and a fantastic performance by NYC artist Chanel Beads. Marie Davidson brought it with a high octane set full of EBM and her signature percussive industrial sounds, followed by NYC’s latest hot duo Fcukers. In the early evening, the curation leaned faster, harder, and clubbier, with Sega Bodega blowing us away with his trance-y productions and a set that honoured Palestine. Dazed legend and dominatrix of the digital underground COBRAH then graced the stage in a BDSM-inspired look and served up naughty vocals over hard-hitting, club-ready beats. Daniel Avery himself closed off the proceedings with an immersive, ethereal, peaktime dancefloor set that left Clubbers and festival goers screaming for more.

We sent two Dazed Club photographers, Connie Burke and Jaye Haley, down to capture the energy of the stage and the entire festival. Connie through digital and Jaye through film.

Despite the threat of Brockwell Park festivals getting cancelled by NIMBY lobbyists, music and community prevailed, and Clubbers were able to enjoy a sun-filled day of class music programming.
