But it was the unveiling of a new collab with Ice Spice which seems to have been the biggest news of the night. The segment opened with Scott bringing an audience member who appeared to be waving an Ice Spice-themed USA flag on stage, as the chorus to “sdp interlude” played in the background. “Think you can do some magic? Hold that up for me real quick,” Travis instructed the fan, gesturing to the flag and cueing the iconic jersey house-style bassline to Spice’s hit “Deli”. The crowd erupted in roars as the Bronx rapper proceeded to appear behind them, performing a medley of “Deli” and “Think You the Shit (Fart)”. Travis Scott and Ice Spice then dove into an unreleased collaborative track, which seemed to feature Spice rapping “Oh shit! She doing her dance” on the hook and Scott’s distinct trap production style. With Ice Spice’s debut album Y2K! set to drop later this month, many have speculated that this track will appear on the project. Her surprise appearance at Travis Scott’s UTOPIA – Circus Maximus Tour coincided with the release of new single “Did It First (with Central Cee)”, who also appeared at the concert to perform chart-topping hit “Band4Band” with Lil Baby. “ice spice securing travis scott & central cee for her debut album? oh, she really want that female rap aoty” commented one fan on X in the wake of the performance. This appearance also follows rumours that both Spice and Travis will also be featuring on the soundtrack to the recently announced Gladiators 2 film. Escape the algorithm!
