The seven-song project will be the first release on the musician’s newly minted label Fantasy Audio Group (F.A.G.) and is the follow-up to the 2021 EP Dedicated to Disrespect. The announcement also comes with new single “Double Tap” and an accompanying music video. In the visual, a computer-generated version of the musician is seen dancing through an industrial wasteland, as the real LSDXOXO hits the dancefloor, bright green laser lights dissecting his body. The relentless electro track features a number of memorable one-liners such as “Beating on your meat, flicking at your bean/I get you excited baby, even in your sleep”. In a statement alongside the EP announcement, the musician revealed that “the title of this project speaks to my personal tug of war with the concept of celebrity,” adding that, “I’m quite the introvert, and up to this point have used my artistic persona as a sort of costume or even armour in order to navigate the heightened visibility.” LSDXOXO will be playing London’s Field Day festival on August 19.
