The enigmatic musician has maintained a steadily increasing profile in recent years, making a cameo appearance in Donald Glover’s Atlanta television series in 2022, and releasing the album Leak 04-13 (Bait Ones) in 2019, an official version of material that was famously leaked in 2013. The ‘BTSTU’ singer also works closely with his brother A.K. Paul on their joint venture record label Paul Institute. Coachella’s double-weekend affair kicks off on April 14-16, and then again on April 21-23, with headliners Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean (new album?) and Blackpink, plus Rosalía, Björk, Charli XCX, Burna Boy, Ethel Cain and Blondie taking the stage across all three days. Also on the line-up is Kaytranada, whose excitement for Paul’s set outweighed that of his own, tweeting to his 500k followers, “Forget about me performing, I’m going to see Jai Paul.” forget about me performing, i’m going to see Jai Paul— kaytra-NADA (@KAYTRANADA) January 10, 2023 It’s safe to say that Paul’s inclusion on the roster has excited many fans, and none other than the Twitter account @JaiPaulUpdates1. After four hundred and ninety-nine days out in the cold, this brand new piece of information is the restorative balm they so desperately needed, and we couldn’t be happier for them.
