Watch the trailer for Brockhampton’s final album

The hip hop group confirmed its indefinite hiatus at this weekend’s Coachella set

Over the weekend (April 16), Brockhampton announced that their final album as a group will be released later this year, via a trailer aired during their packed Coachella set. Now, creative director-slash-frontman Kevin Abstract has shared the clip with fans on social media, offering a brief insight into the process of making the record.

Brockhampton announced their indefinite hiatus following the release of their latest album, 2021’s Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine. “We all love each other and we wanna continue making the best music we can,” Abstract said at the time. “Everybody just getting a lil older and got a lot to say outside of group projects.”

The boy band’s final album was initially set to arrive before the end of 2021, but was subsequently delayed amid rumours that they were seeking up and coming producers to contribute to the project.

According to Brockhampton’s new trailer – which is simply titled The Final Album – the record will now arrive in 2022. Details about the project itself are still fairly vague, with Abstract simply writing:Fuck. This album is. Fuck. Wow.”
