Back in 2018 — before running for president or changing his name to Ye — Kanye West retreated to a ranch in Wyoming to work on a handful of projects, including ye and the Kid Cudi collab Kids See Ghosts. Now, though, the Wyoming era appears to be coming to a close, with the rapper selling off his Cody, Wyoming ranch.
Listed online for $11 million, the property comes with a decent chunk of Kanye West history. His ranches in the state have hosted everything from the Wyoming Sessions and a free iteration of his Sunday Services, to a ye listening party, and music videos for “Follow God” and “Closed on Sunday”.
The sale of the ranch also appears to mark a particular moment in West’s life, as he recently bought a $57 million, Tadao Ando-designed home in Malibu, and reportedly gave up his self-designed Hidden Hills home amid his divorce from Kim Kardashian. It’s currently unclear whether he’ll hold onto his other property based in Wyoming, including a second ranch just down the road.
If you happen to have $11 million to spare, the Wyoming ranch that’s going on sale — previously set to house Ye’s “Yeezy Campus” — is described as a “once in a lifetime property”, spanning 3,888 acres with two fresh water lakes. Besides typical ranch facilities (presumably) such as livestock corrals and hay meadows, it also includes a go-cart track and fishing facilities with a backdrop of the Absaroka mountains.
