Listed under the artist name ‘Sophistry’, the two tracks are “OFC” and “The Worst Boy Band in the World”, and feature the singular artist’s instantly recognisable sonic signatures. According to Fact, the pair worked on the songs before SOPHIE’s death in January. The mix also includes an audio clip of SOPHIE talking about sounds and the idea of a “mountain-sized” piano, imagining what kind of sounds it would make. The mix follows the arrival of Palmistry’s wyrdo album, which showcased the producer’s intimate, pop-adjacent sounds and featured a collaboration with Britney and Shawn Mendes producer Danny Parker. Opening with an Adam Curtis sample, the mix also includes a rework of Charli XCX’s “i finally understand”, which Palmistry produced, and which features on the album as “wya”.
