Here’s what Rihanna has to say about becoming a billionaire

The musician and Fenty founder was officially granted billionaire status earlier this month

In case you missed it, Rihanna is now officially a billionaire. The multi-talented musician, actor, and Fenty founder is said to be worth $1.7 billion (£1.2 billion), according to Forbes’ recent estimation, making her the wealthiest female musician in the world and the second-wealthiest female entertainer after Oprah Winfrey.

Rihanna’s inclusive cosmetics company, Fenty Beauty, reportedly makes up the majority of her wealth, estimated to be worth $1.4 billion in itself. That's alongside her income from music and acting, and her lingerie label Savage x Fenty (valued at $270 million, or £193 million).

But what does Rihanna herself make of the valuation? According to Billboard, paparazzi questioned her on being a “self-made billionaire” when exiting a New York City nightclub earlier this week (spoiler alert: her answer is slightly more humble than fellow billionaire Kanye West’s declaration that he’s still being undervalued).

In fact, Rihanna only had three words for the enquiring photographer, telling them: “God is good.”

Besides being named a billionaire, Rihanna has spent the last couple of months enjoying nights out and filming a new music video with A$AP Rocky (so yeah, if you were Rihanna, God would probably seem pretty good).

Earlier this month, she also recruited an all-Black biker gang to model her latest Savage x Fenty summer collection, which dropped just ahead of her debut Fenty fragrance, set to arrive on August 10.

You have to wonder though, if God is really that good, shouldn’t we have R9 by now?
