A Lady Gaga lookalike is competing in the OlympicsAll she ever wanted was… an Olympic medalShareLink copied ✔️July 28, 2021July 28, 2021TextMae Williams Lady Gaga can do it all: she’s a singer, a dancer, a dentist. And now, she also appears to be an Olympic athlete. Or so a lot of fans were led to believe this week, when another Gaga doppelgänger emerged at the Tokyo Games. On Monday (July 26), eagle-eyed fans spotted a striking resemblance between Jordan’s Julyana Al-Sadeq, who was competing in the women’s taekwondo competition, and Gaga herself. Stills from Al-Sadeq’s match against Brazil’s Milena Titonelli quickly emerged on Twitter, with many joking about Gaga’s many skills. “Lady Gaga said ‘f*ck Grammys and Oscars, I want a gold Olympic medal now,” said one. In another shot, where Al-Sadeq looks even more like the Chromatica artist, Gaga Daily asked: “Why is Lady Gaga at the Olympics.” The account later shared photos of other Gaga doppelgängers – including a judge and a firefighter – with the caption: “What can’t Lady Gaga do?” Sadly Al-Sadeq didn’t make it out of the round of 16. Croatia’s Matea Jelić went on to win the gold in the final against Britain’s Lauren Williams. Luckily for Al-Sadeq, she has a very successful pop career to go back to. Gaga’s new Olympic stint isn’t her first foray into the world of sports this week. Yesterday (July 27), the musician was spotted resurrecting the tennis skirt while playing a couple of sets with her boyfriend. Sports era Gaga? We’re here for it.
