A. G. Cook has announced a forthcoming remix album, Apple vs 7G. Unsurprisingly, given the title, the project will incorporate reworked music from both of last year’s full-length releases: Cook’s 49-track debut album, 7G, and his “second debut album”, Apple.
In a tracklist shared to Instagram, the artist reveals that the new record will include Caroline Polachek’s remix of “Oh Yeah”, released last month, alongside collaborations with Sarah Bonito and Hannah Diamond, umru, No Rome, Boys Noize, Eartheater, and many more.
“A lot of these remixes arrived kinda organically thru Zoom shows, mixes, conversations,” Cook says in the announcement. “Excited for everyone to hear them.”
Ahead of the May 28 release (via PC Music), the artist has also shared a remix of “Xxoplex” featuring Charli XCX — and titled “Xcxoplex”, naturally — with accompanying, strobe-filled visuals. Watch below.
Last month, Cook also shared a tribute to his late friend and longtime collaborator SOPHIE, reflecting on her music, the first time they met, and their close artistic relationship.
In March, he followed 7G and Apple with a sprawling Soundcloud mix, Dream Logic, featuring remixes of tracks by Charli, Oneohtrix Point Never, The 1975, and more.
