Watch Billie Eilish’s ‘Your Power’ video featuring a very large anaconda

The new single comes from the singer’s forthcoming second studio album ‘Happier Than Ever’

Billie Eilish has dropped her new single “Your Power” alongside an accompanying music video. A taste of what’s to come from the singer’s forthcoming second studio album, Happier Than Ever, the song features haunting vocals and stripped-back acoustic guitar.

Set in California’s Simi Valley, the self-directed video finds Eilish, dressed in beige with her new blonde hair, alone on a mountainside slowly getting squeezed and choked by a very large anaconda. As the snake winds its way around her body and up her neck, she sings about not abusing power.

Eilish has called the new single one of her favourite songs she’s ever written. “I feel very vulnerable putting this one out because I hold it so close to my heart. This is about many different situations that we’ve all either witnessed or experienced. I hope this can inspire change. Try not to abuse your power.”

Happier Than Ever is due to drop on July 30 and will feature previous singles “Therefore I Am” and “my future” alongside “Your Power”. Like Eilish's debut album, it was written by her and her brother FINNEAS, who produced the album in LA.

Earlier in the year, Billie revealed she'd been recording an album in lockdown. “I made an album,” she said during a Late Show appearance, “and I don’t think I would have made the same album, or even the album at all, if it weren’t for COVID.”

“That doesn’t mean it’s about COVID at all,” she continued, “it’s just that, when things are different in your life, you’re different. That’s just how it is. So, I have to thank COVID for that, and that’s about it.”
