slowthai and Skepta share a horror-inspired video for new song, ‘CANCELLED’

The TYRON visuals feature nods to American Psycho, Candyman, and more

slowthai and Skepta have shared a new track, titled “CANCELLED”, ahead of slowthai’s forthcoming second album, TYRON. The track comes alongside a video that reference a variety of gruesome film clips, kicking off with the infamous axe scene in American Psycho.

Scary Movie, The Silence of The Lambs, Candyman, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre also get a nod in the video, which is directed by frequent collaborators The Rest.

Following a short delay, TYRON is set to be released later this week (February 12). Previously-released tracks from the Nothing Great About Britain follow-up include “nhs” and “MAZZA”, featuring A$AP Rocky. Last year, slowthai also premiered “feel away”, a collaboration with James Blake and Mount Kimbie from the upcoming record.
