Cook, along with Hannah Diamond and Planet 1999 (covering the Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey, who else?). Also featuring on the festive record, titled Pop Caroler’s Songbook, are Kai Whiston, umru, Alaska Reid, and Banoffee, who reworks Look at Us Now Dad’s “Fuckwit”. Multiple, particularly Christmassy tracks come courtesy of rapper Aaron Cartier. Many of the artists also appeared in an accompanying livestream. <a href="https://pcmusic.bandcamp.com/album/pop-caroler-s-songbook">Pop Caroler’s Songbook by PC Music</a> Besides offering an alternative to hearing Band Aid for the 17th time in a row (which is an act of charity in itself), all proceeds from the Pop Caroler’s Songbook will go to the Trussell Trust, an organisation that campaigns to stop hunger and poverty in the UK. A.G. Cook has also released two solo albums this year, including the expansive debut 7G. The latter, Apple, was one of Dazed’s favourite albums of 2020.
