Megan Thee Stallion has launched a global scholarship fund to provide $10,000 bursaries to female students of colour.
Taking its name from her recently-released track with Young Thug, “Don’t Stop”, the Don’t Stop Scholarship Fund (a partnership with Amazon Music’s Rap Rotation) will award the funds to two applicants pursuing a bachelors, associate, or postgraduate degree.
Recently, Megan also performed “Don’t Stop” and “Savage” during her debut appearance on Saturday Night Live. Partway through “Savage”, the rapper brought the music to a halt to demand justice for Breonna Taylor, saying: “We need to protect our Black women, and love our Black women, because at the end of the day we need our Black women.”
Earlier this year, she also provided financial aid to fans out of work or otherwise struggling to get by during the coronavirus pandemic, alongside artists such as Lil Nas X.
