The accompanying video, dropped simultaneously earlier today (August 13) also comes courtesy of 100 gecs. “iPhone” serves as a follow-up to another collaboration between Rico Nasty and 100 gecs earlier this year: “ringtone (remix)”, which also featured Charli XCX and Kero Kero Bonito, and appears on 100 gecs’ remixed version of their 2019 breakthrough album 1000 gecs, titled 1000 gecs and the Tree of Clues. Rico Nasty’s debut studio album, meanwhile, is due to be released in 2020. “It’s not based on one aesthetic,” the rapper told Dazed in an interview earlier this year, adding that the record includes: “another voice I developed, and I’ll be showcasing that more.” Watch the new video for Rico Nasty’s “iPhone” below.
