In the wake of George Floyd’s murder, protests have sprung up in cities around the US and the wider world, with some authorities imposing curfews in a bid to prevent looting. Tyler’s store on 350 N Fairfax Ave was damaged during the protests over the weekend, but in an Instagram caption, he explained that there were more important things to fix, as Billboard points out. Using his Golf Wang clothing brand's Instagram account, Tyler referenced the 1960s Black Panther Party, writing: "BLACK FURY: keep your eyes wide and educate yourself,” followed by his own comment, “the store is fine, but even if it wasn’t, this is bigger than getting some glass fixed and buffing spray paint off, understand what really needs to be fixed out here. Stay safe, love.” As Twitter users have noted, Tyler himself was at the protests in LA. Check out Tyler’s Instagram post above.
