The rapper first showed off her language skills on “Gimme A Chance”, from her 2015 album, Broke With Expensive Taste, and has seemingly released “Nirvana” as part of the launch of her Spanish artist name, La Aracely. Banks wrote on Instagram: “You here for ‘La Aracely’?” Adding that her name would be АЗИЛЬКА in Russia and all Slavic territories, and that she still needs “a dope name for China, Korea, and Japan”. “Nirvana” – clocking in at just two minutes 12 seconds – is Banks’ first release since September last year, when she shared her mixtape, Yung Rapunxel: Pt. II, which hopefully means more new music is on the way. In the meantime, it looks like Banks might be attempting to relaunch her acting career after she auditioned for season two of Euphoria last month. The musician likely went up for the role of Ami, a “drug addict stripper” who “hates her boyfriend”, “talks shit”, “can’t read a room”, and “can make a bad situation worse”. Dream role, TBH.
