The performance will be live, alongside performances from Elton John, Toy Story’s Randy Newman, and other Oscar nominees (with Eilish being the only non-nominated artist currently slated to appear at the ceremony). The news comes as Billie Eilish is still fresh from a record-setting series of wins at the 2020 Grammys, which saw her become the youngest artist to win the four major categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. The 18 year old singer made the total up to five with a win for Best Pop Vocal Album. Though she isn’t nominated for any Oscars (this year) her performance at the ceremony precedes the new James Bond film, No Time To Die, for which she’s provided the theme song. Hopefully it will also provide a chance for her to debut another outfit like the head-to-toe Gucci look she wore to the Grammys (which was, appropriately, very Bond villain-esque).
