Bikini Kill will tour for the first time in 20 years

The original riot grrrl group will play across North America in 2020

For anyone who missed Bikini Kill’s reunion shows this year, the riot grrrl band will be embarking upon their first official tour in over 20 years.

The first date is on March 13, 2020 in Olympia, Washington, at the Interfaith Works, “the only shelter/homeless services program that explicitly prioritises women and LGBT single adults in the Olympia community”, as a press release puts it.

Later that month they’ll play a few more shows in Seattle, Victoria, and Portland, before resuming the tour in May. The gap in their touring leaves open the potential for them to play Coachella.

For European fans of the band, the group are scheduled to play Øya Festival in Oslo, Norway on August 12, so it’s likely that more tour dates will be announced around that time in future.

The dates were announced by the band on Instagram. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (November 8), with Bikini Kill newsletter subscribers having access to a pre-sale link.
