I want people to feel hope and to know you will come out the other side stronger and a better version of yourself.” The track – her first solo release of 2019 – was written by Gomez with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, and produced by Finneas (Billie Eilish’s brother and producer) and Mattman & Robin. The “Lose You to Love Me” video, directed by Sophie Muller, shows Gomez singing directly to the camera, boxed within in a picture frame. The intimate video was shot entirely on an iPhone. Gomez released her last album, Revival, in 2015, although she’s released a string of non-album singles since then, including 2017’s “Fetish”.
