The full set was livestreamed on YouTube. The two-hour show, which formed part of the Red Bull Music Festival in London, was accompanied by glitchy visuals from regular collaborator Weirdcore, who uses facial recognition to scan the crowd and turn them into abstract projections – his contorted graphics are a perfect match for Aphex Twin’s intricate production. A set up of 10 cameras captured the event, one of which wandered through the crowd to offer a 360 view of the performance, the first for Aphex Twin at a London club since DJing at the now-closed Matter in 2009. The artist is currently due to play at The Depot in Manchester next weekend on September 20. Watch a livestream of the full Printworks set below: Escape the algorithm!
