Grimes is back with a new single, “Violence”. A collaboration with electronic musician i_o, the track is the Canadian musician’s first single since last year’s “We Appreciate Power”.

“Violence” comes with a music video directed by Grimes herself. In the video, the musician reads from The Art of War before performing choreographed routines that mimic actual war.

The track itself is a more ethereal piece of electro-pop, driven by a thumping kickdrum and synth arp bassline. It’s likely to appear on her forthcoming album Miss_Anthropocene, which currently doesn’t have a release date.
