Featured in the New Zealand-based publication’s September issue, Sivan’s two-page feature interview included inappropriate questions regarding whether his longtime partner would give him a “hall pass” in regards to Shawn Mendes. The interviewer, Matt Fistonich, then proceeded to question whether anything got “too steamy” when Sivan met the fellow singer. And to make matters worse, during the quickfire, the journalist finished off the interview asking if he was “top or bottom”. Fans were quick to call out Fistonich’s unprofessionalism, with one fan tweeting images of the interview with the caption “who’s this interviewer, the bar is on the floor”. The South African-born singer responded by tweeting: “I thought about asking the interviewer about his absolute fave sex position after that last question, but then I remembered how wildly invasive, strange and inappropriate that would be. Didn’t stop him though!” Sivan then continued to say, “Next time I’ll just do a Twitter q&a”. I thought about asking the interviewer about his absolute fave sex position after that last question, but then i remembered how wildly invasive, strange and innapropriate that would be. Didn’t stop him though! https://t.co/mo80DziQrH— troye (@troyesivan) August 28, 2019Escape the algorithm! Get The DropEmail address SIGN UP Get must-see stories direct to your inbox every weekday.
