Titled The Lion King: The Gift, it brings together some big names, including Childish Gambino and Beyoncé herself (who play CGI Simba and Nala, respectively, in the remake), Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Tierra Whack, and Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé’s daughter. Blue Ivy also appears alongside her mum in visuals for the two songs that bookend the record, “Spirit” (which had a video release last week) and “Bigger”. The “Bigger” visuals mostly just expand on what we’ve already seen in “Spirit”, with vast African landscapes, some characteristically impressive looks from Beyoncé, and those cute mother-daughter moments. As “Bigger” kicks off the album, though, it does also include James Earl Jones’s iconic speech (as Mufasa) about everything in the natural world existing in a “delicate balance”, which ties in nicely with the track’s lyrics: “You’re part of something way bigger.” Listen to The Lion King: The Gift here, and watch the “Spirit” and “Bigger” visuals combined below.
