Specifically, Nicki took some time in her Beats 1 radio show to address a pretty innocuous lyric in Miley Cyrus’s new EP, She Is Coming: “I love you Nicki, but I listen to Cardi.” In a call-out reminiscent of the 2015 VMAs, Minaj compares Cyrus to a chicken on the show, saying: “A Perdue chicken can never talk shit about queens.” "But I do know there's a lot of Perdue chickens that's been trying to say a queen's name for clout, and that's always been happening – and that's what she did in the first place. And then she cried, you know, the white girl cry and made black girls seem like she was a bad guy." To be honest, it’s not entirely clear what the current focus of rapper’s criticism is, since she mostly talks about stuff that happened four years ago. There’s also a reference to an alleged sexual encounter between Cyrus and producer Mike WiLL Made-It, who has worked with the singer on multiple projects, including the most recent EP. While it’s never pretty seeing artists trying to tear each other down (particularly women, who already get a pretty bad deal in the music industry), the whole spat is unlikely to hurt Miley’s sales. She Is Coming is just the first of three EPs the singer will release this year, which will be combined to form She Is Miley Cyrus, her seventh studio album. Escape the algorithm!
