Following the release of her “Dark Ballet” music video last week, featuring Mykki Blanco as an emotionally-charged Joan of Arc, Madonna is back with her long-awaited 14th studio album Madame X.
Featuring collaborations by Quavo, Mike Dean, Diplo, longtime producer Mirwais and more, the 15-track record is the Queen of Pop’s first full-length album since Rebel Heart in 2015.
Inspired by the singer’s time living in Portuguese capital Lisbon, Madame X includes the previously released tracks “Medellín”, “Crave” and “Dark Ballet”, as well as a series of never-before-heard songs. The album cover shows a close-up of the singer's face with bright red lips, dark eyebrows and dressed in black, religious-style garms.
Madonna will be touring the new album with 48-date Madame X tour, which kicks off September 12.
