Madonna announces the Madame X Tour

The singer will visit America and Europe following the release of her new album

Following the teasing of her fourteenth studio album, Madame X – and an extravagant new video for “Medellin” – Madonna has announced an accompanying tour, aptly named “The Madame X Tour”.

Apparently the tour will consist of a “series of rare and intimate performances” that will see the pop icon take to the stage in theatres exclusively. This will begin with seven nights at New York's BAM Howard Gilman Opera House.

The American leg of the tour will then take Madonna to Chicago, LA, Boston, and Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, among other cities. Ticket details are available here.

The “Madame X Tour” will also include European dates, visiting Lisbon, London, and Paris in early 2020, though specific dates are yet to be announced.

The teaser for Madonna’s new album (April 14) laid out a pretty specific concept: “Madame X is a secret agent,” she says in the video. “Traveling around the world. Changing identities. Fighting for freedom. Bringing light to dark places. She is a dancer. A professor. A head of state. A housekeeper. An equestrian. A prisoner. A student. A mother. A child. A teacher. A nun. A singer. A saint. A whore. The spy in the house of love. I’m Madame X.”
