A Prince memoir is due this October

With 50 pages penned by the singer before his death

Yesterday marked the third anniversary of Prince’s death at 57 and fans flocked to social media to celebrate his life. Today, though, there’s news that there’s a Prince memoir on the way.

Titled The Beautiful Ones, the book is slated for an October 29 release (though it was announced back in 2016) and will be published by Random House. Apparently it will feature new photos, scrapbooks, and hand-written lyrics.

What’s more, 50 pages of memoir – penned by Prince himself before he passed away – will be included, presumably providing a fairly intimate insight into the life of the pop icon.

It’s a “deeply personal account of how Prince Rogers Nelson became the Prince we know,” say Random House: “the real-time story of a kid absorbing the world around him and creating a persona, an artistic vision, and a life, before the hits and the fame that would come to define him.”
