In case you haven’t seen one of the thousands of overly-emotional social media posts, Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) has bleached his beard. Plenty of pictures – and, of course, strong opinions – have been going around since he debuted the new look at a Grammys party hosted by composer Ludwig Göransson. But is it really that big a deal?

Most Twitter users seem to disapprove of the gingery-blonde facial hair, expressing the internet's favourite blend of anger, despair, and meme-y comparisons.

That’s not to say that it hasn’t had a few positive reactions, though, with one person praising him for looking “like a trustworthy sea captain”.

As yet another user points out, though: “Who gives a shit?”

If we really want to talk about Donald Glover – which, let’s face it, we do – maybe our time would be better spent discussing his five nominations at this year’s Grammys (though he won’t be attending the ceremony tomorrow), or the fact that he’s reported to be currently writing the third season of his award-winning show, Atlanta, or even the fact that you can now digitally augment videos on your phone to add him as a dancing avatar (see the video below).

I don’t know. It just feels like, where Donald Glover’s concerned, there’s bigger fish to fry.
