In an added sign of success, and in the vibe of all truly successful bands, one of the band’s members, Jimin, has released a surprise solo track. “Promise” came out just after midnight in Seoul on December 31. As pointed out by NME, Jimin shared a tweet on the BTS Twitter account, saying: “Everyone, you’ve been waiting long for a long time, yes? I have finally dropped my self-produced track. This is a song for myself but this is also a song for you guys. This is my first time, so it’s a bit raw, but please listen to it. Thank you ARMYs for having waited patiently.” 여러분 오래 기다리셨죠?드디어 저의 자작곡을 공개하게 되었습니다저를 위한 곡이지만 여러분을 위한 곡기도 합니다처음이기도하고 미숙하지만 많이 들어주세요 기다려주신 아미 여러분 감사합니다 ☺️#JIMIN#약속— 방탄소년단 (@BTS_twt) December 30, 2018 “Promise” was produced by BTS producer Slow Rabbit, according to the track’s Soundcloud page, while the lyrics are by Jimin and his bandmate and BTS leader RM.
