You need to hear Christine and the Queens’ Rihanna & Kate Bush mash-up

It’s heavenly

If, like us, you’re obsessed with Christine & The Queens – stop everything you’re doing to watch this performance.

Performing on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge segment, singer Héloïse Letissier performed “5 dollars” from this year’s album ChrisNice, but that’s not the reason we’re here. As all acts are invited to, her second performance was a cover of Letissier’s choice, choosing Rihanna’s “Kiss It Better”. The cover you didn’t know you needed, but clears your acne and all your debts.

If that wasn’t good enough already, halfway through the song it suddenly changes to Kate Bush’s “Wuthering Heights” with singer Héloïse Letissier singing, “Heathcliff, it’s me, Cathy, I’ve come home.” As her voice floats all the way up to heaven, it basically takes your soul with it.

The performance itself is beautifully simple, featuring Letissier alone under spotlight feeling the music. Go on, smash that MF replay button – it’s self-care.
