Tyler, the Creator’s Cherry Bomb was relatively well-received when it released back in 2015, but Tyler doesn’t think it was appreciated enough, even going so far as to say in a tweet that “most listeners initially hated it”. Now, though, he’s found a way to show the album in a different light, as well as introducing it to newer fans who might not have given it a listen the first time around.

Tyler’s decision to release all of the LP’s tracks as instrumental versions was announced on his Twitter yesterday, in a tweet that simply read: “CHERRY BOMB INSTRUMENTALS, OUT NOW”.

And the release has subsequently caused a lot of buzz, with followers excited about trying their own lyrics over the beats (regardless of whether they’ve ever tried rapping or not, of course).

Meanwhile, others are content to just listen to the instrumental tracks and see Cherry Bomb in a different light.

Unfortunately, Tyler’s denied the prospect of putting out any similar Flower Boy instrumentals soon, though, so don’t be holding your breath.
