The Obamas showed us their moves at a Beyoncé concert

They were living their best lives on the On the Run II tour

As far as modern power couples go, Beyoncé and Jay-Z pretty much take the top spot. Back in June they released the video for their new album’s first single, “APESHIT”, which saw them rent out the entire Louvre, and more recently they’ve been seeking permission to rent out the Colosseum as well. That’s not to say that there aren’t other contenders too, though: former President of the United States, Barack Obama, and writer/activist (and former FLOTUS) Michelle Obama are close competition.

No one had to choose between the two couples on Saturday night, though (that is, if they were at Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s On the Run II concert in Washington D.C.), as the Obamas went along for the show. In their private box, the pair were seen cutting shapes and throwing up their hands to the Carters’ tunes and – given that they’re about as high-profile as you can get – there are, of course, the viral videos to prove it

There was pretty much unanimous agreement in the comments that what we’re seeing is the Obamas living their best lives. “I love how the Obamas are thriving,” says one commenter. “They are blessed.”

It’s almost enough to overcome the crippling desire to see them back in the White House.
