SOPHIE says she has three more releases coming out this year

She also has collaborations with Kim Petras, Charli XCX, and Bibi Bourelly in the pipeline

It’s only been one month since SOPHIE released her debut album Oil of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides, but the groundbreaking pop producer has revealed that she has more releases on the way – three more, to be exact.

SOPHIE fan account points to a translated interview from Spanish publication MondoSonoro, where SOPHIE says: “I have the next one finished... I’m going to release four albums this year.” When asked to clarify whether she meant EPs or LPs, she said it would be “a mix”. “I do not know what a damn album is! The barrier between the EP and LP is becoming more diffuse, that’s why I can not define it. It is not something I care about. It will be four releases. This is what I want to do right now.”

“Although people are going to see these four releases as different things to me they are the same thing. I do not make distinctions because the goal is to release music that moves and reaches people,” she adds.

In a separate interview with Lenny Letter (via The FADER), SOPHIE also mentions that she’s been working with Kim Petras, Charli XCX, and Bibi Bourelly on new material, as well as some rap collaborations. This is in addition to her mooted Lady Gaga collaboration.
