Her latest consignment of holiday merch, following on from 2016's haul, is a fun collection of items including phone cases, onesies and jumpers, with one of the designs sporting the slogan ‘HAVE A THICC HOLIDAY’. According to Know Your Meme, the word thicc first was used in 2004, on a webpage dedicated to more hip-hop artists, and its first Urban Dictionary entry was in 2015, where it was described as referring to a “black female” whose “curve resemble one of an hourglass”. This year Dazed Winter 2017 cover star Rihanna has also been celebrated for getting ‘thick’, with Buzzfeed running the headline ‘Rihanna's Getting Thick And Fans Are Rejoicing’ back in May. Holidayoncé And, in addition, this week finance publication Forbes also announced that she is now the highest-earning woman in music for 2017, surpassing last year's top earner, Taylor Swift. They suggest that Beyoncé's pre-tax income between June 2016 and June 2017 was $105 million, ahead of Adele ($69 million) and 2016's richest woman in music, Taylor Swift ($44 million).
