Announcing the news in an Instagram post, the NIGHTR1DE singer gushed about having the chance to record a song with her “idol”. “The face you make when the rumours are true and you collabed with your idol and basically your whole life is a dream so you keep it cute for Brit but inside you are wigless and dead,” she wrote excitedly, posting a picture of her and Spears. The track was eventually revealed to be an update of “Slumber Party”, which originally appeared on Spears’ 2016 album, Glory. While no release date was given at the time, the single was announced yesterday (November 15) with a series of surprise social media posts. Now, as of today, the Tinashe-featuring “Slumber Party” is available to stream exclusively on Apple Music, with an accompanying video set to arrive on Friday (November 18). Listen to the track below.
