An image of the pair posted to the “Superlove” singer’s Instagram announced the musical partnership. Her excited caption read: “The face you make when the rumors (sic) are true and you collabed with your idol & basically your whole life is a dream so you keep it cute for Brit but inside you are wigless and dead.” The former Dazed cover star posted a picture of herself in Spears’ recording studio last week, first setting rumours of a collab off. According to Popjustice, they’re working on a new version of “Slumber Party”, a track from Brit’s 2016 album, Glory. Spears tweeted the same pic as Tinashe with the lyrics to the track in her caption: “neighbors (sic) say we’re causing a commotion”. Since her debut album Aquarius, Tinashe has released a number of tracks and several collaborations; including “Superlove”, “All My Friends” with Snakehips and Chance the Rapper and the more recent “Just Say” with KDA.
