The video sees frontman Olly Alexander in a self-imagined outfit, studded with 86,000 Swarovski crystals created by costume and fashion designer Lara Jensen. Alexander and bandmates Mikey Goldsworthy and Emre Türkmen lead a growing number of dancers in an iridescent, ritualistic dance for “Meteorite”. “It’s an honour to follow in the footsteps of some of my heroes... Britney, Beyoncé... and be decked out in tens of thousands of dazzling crystals!” Alexander said of the experience. The track was only recently debuted at the London's bands Bestival performance on the Isle of Wight. A statement from the band also confirmed they would begin working on their sophomore album later this year. Watch the video below.
