After teasing the project on Instagram last month, Drake has dropped his short film, Please Forgive Me, featuring several songs from his album Views.

The 21-minute film was directed by the Canadian rapper and Anthony Mandler, who also collaborated with Drake for the “Over”, “Miss Me” and “Find Your Love” videos off of Thank Me Later, as well as music videos for Rihanna and Nicki Minaj. Please Forgive Me sees Drake front a cast including dancehall artist Popcaan, Fanny Neguesha, Soni Chidiebere and Kyla Reid.

The OVO boss acts as a gang member, whose girlfriend (Reid) is asked at a party to sleep with a man for one million dollars. Drake and Popcaan hatch a plan to get the cash, but complications ensue.

Tracks from Views including “Controlla”, “Summer’s Over Interlude”, “One Dance” and more feature in the short, with Drake’s producer Noah ‘40’ Shebib scoring the rest of the film.

Please Forgive Me has enjoyed an early release, after it was promised to arrive on September 30. This is the second of Drake’s short film oeuvre, accompanying last year’s Jungle which came out in conjunction with his mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.
