The nine-track release is a fiery collection of scorched post-punk, club music, and leftfield electronics. Trouble lands roughly a year and a half on from Jam City’s second album Dream A Garden, and is his first batch of new music since that album’s follow-up EP Earthly Versions. Like Dream A Garden, the Trouble mixtape is politically-charged yet romantic music for a time of crisis, with its artwork bearing the tagline ‘From Bad To Worse’. It’s particularly necessary in the wake of the Brexit vote, Donald Trump, and the rise of far right parties around Europe. You can check out the mixtape below, and download it for free here.
