Taking a break from her new career as a professional palm reader, Erykah Badu has joined forces with Nas for track “This Bitter Land”.
The stirring collaboration comes just days before the release of new skate film The Land. Executive produced by Nas and starring Badu, the movie tells the story of four teenage boys as they attempt to pursue their dream life of becoming professional skateboarders (watch the trailer here).
“This Bitter Land” – which dropped on Soundcloud yesterday evening – is taken from the film’s heavily-hyped accompanying soundtrack. As well as this Badu and Nas collab, it also features new tracks from Kanye West, Pusha T, Jeremih, and Nosaj Thing. The full album will reportedly be released alongside the film on July 29, via Mass Appeal Records.
