The singer announced the track in an Instagram post yesterday, previewing a clip of the sweeping, cinematic song alongside visuals from the film that morph (slightly strangely) into Rihanna’s face in the sky. The track is most likely an older one that didn’t make the final cut of her most recent album Anti, rather than a new song recorded specifically for the film. As The Verge point out, Rihanna shared lyrics to the track as far back as two years ago: “You’re just another brick and I’m a sledgehammer”, she tweeted in 2014. You're just another brick and I'm a sledgehammer #barz— Rihanna (@rihanna) May 16, 2014 Star Trek: Beyond is out on July 22 and features one of the final appearances of actor Anthon Yelchin, who died last week in a car accident.
