As Vulture report, Jay Z features on a new remix of fellow New York artists Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s “All The Way Up”. The track was premiered during a Yankees game and sees the rapper use his guest verse to reference Lemonade, his marriage to Beyoncé, and Prince’s death. “You know you made it when the fact / Your marriage made it is worth millions / Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is,” he raps. “Prince left his masters where they safe and sound / We never gonna let the elevator take him down.” It’s been rumoured that Jay Z and Beyoncé concocted the Lemonade storyline together, and that Jay would be releasing a response album that tells his side of the story. Earlier this week, it was suggested that the response might come in the form of a Jay Z/Beyoncé joint album, and that it might drop very shortly. “I turned down some really really really big names for the remix,” Fat Joe recently told Billboard, “Like, the biggest guys on Earth but was just like, yo, I wanna keep it New York.” Listen to the remix on TIDAL, and check out the original version below.
